With theatre and arts disappearing from public schools, theatres such as the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California are trying to pick up the void. Viewers find out about the educational wing of a theatre that brings top flight entertainers to the Southern California desert. Host Gloria Greer talks to the education director of the McCallum Theatre and to some of the winners of the theatre's annual "Open Call" competition. Gavin McLeod says he was "blown away" be some of the student performances, and viewers will be, as well.
